From the Studio / Film & Cultural Identity

After the Cut

Three cinema posters reveal one portrait through progressively wider horizontal crops.

Three posters, one edit.

A film programme can borrow its identity from the act of editing. The same face occupies three consecutive posters, but each frame reveals a different amount of the image.

A single word sits on each poster. The full title emerges as the viewer moves past the sequence. Ultramarine and vermilion breaks punctuate the black-and-white portrait.

Discuss a brief ↗
Cinema tickets repeat the monochrome portrait, blue strips and crop marks from the poster series.
In application

A ticket keeps just a fragment of the portrait. The crop, colour and condensed type are enough to connect it to the foyer posters.
